This is our motorhome. It is a 1989 Tioga that gets an average of 7 miles per gallon. That is about all I know about motorhomes. It made the trip so much more enjoyable than keeping all those kids strapped down in the van. We allowed the older three to be free of buckles for the whole trip. They had to be seated most of the time. However, on the last leg of the trip they discovered a new game which they named "the slipping game". The older three put on socks and slid down from the back all the way to the front. They had a blast and I figured as long as no one got hurt and since we had been in that thing for 3 days, it would be okay to let them slip and burn off some energy. We only ran out of gas once, but we were only about 50 yards from the pump so it worked out great. At one point Lance allowed Samuel to sit in the front seat while I was sleeping. Samuel thought it would be a good time to open the door. Well, he wasn't buckled in so Lance grabbed Samuel's arm to prevent him from falling out of the motorhome and began yelling. Lukas held the door with all his 40 lbs and stick arms and also yelled. I awoke from a dead sleep and stumbled my way to the front to see what all the commotion was about and managed to pull Lukas so the door would close and explain to Samuel that you cannot open the door when the motorhome is moving. From that point on, all kids lost the right to enter the "cabin area". It was a very scary moment for everyone, but after a few days we were able to laugh about it. Other than that, our trip went flawlessly!!!
